Voluntary Blood Donation Camp

“A drop of your blood can give someone a lifetime of happiness.”

On the occasion of Shri Datta Meghe Ji’s birthday, the Rotaract Club of DMMC, in collaboration with Hriday Amrit Foundation, Medibrains Social Welfare Foundation, IMA-MSN DMMC, and MSAI DMMC, successfully organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 11th November 2025 at the Central Clinical Laboratory, SMHRC, Hingna, Nagpur.

Purpose

The initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its life-saving importance, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to actively contribute to this noble cause.

Participation and Impact

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 60 donors-including 35 students and 25 faculty members, non-teaching staff, and others-coming forward. This collective effort resulted in the successful collection of 55 units of blood, highlighting the impact of community-driven healthcare initiatives.

The event was conducted with the dedicated support of the Dattatreya Blood Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Pathology and the Nursing Unit, ensuring a smooth and safe donation process.
