Heart to Heart (HTH) is a pioneering Cardiology Interest Group (CIG) at BVDUMC, Pune, recognized by the American College of Cardiology. Since its inauguration in 2023, HTH has fostered cardiology education through lectures, hands-on training, research collaborations, and clinical rotations. With over 200 members, it provides invaluable learning experiences and international exposure. HTH’s mission, “Let Us Heal Heart-To-Heart,” aims to train future cardiovascular physicians and promote heart health awareness.

A New Beat Begins: Announcing the 2025–2026 Leadership Board of Heart to Heart India’s Largest Student-Led Cardiology Interest Group | Recognized by the American College of Cardiology
On the occasion of Doctors’ Day 2025, we are proud to announce the new Leadership Board of Heart to Heart, a national cardiology interest group founded by medical students in India and officially recognized by the American College of Cardiology’s Medical Student Member Community (ACC MSMC). Now entering its third foundational year, this initiative operates under the umbrella of the HridayAmrit Foundation, continuing its mission to foster the next generation of cardiovascular leaders.
What started as a grassroots initiative at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune, has evolved into a vibrant academic and advocacy platform that unites students across the country. Heart to Heart has become a model of student-led impact—centered around cardiovascular health, clinical innovation, preventive care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Founder and Visionary Leadership
The founding vision of Heart to Heart was shaped by our Founder MD, Dr. Amanpreet Singh Wasir, MBBS—whose passion for cardiology, public health, and transformational leadership laid the foundation for this initiative. Today, he continues to support the group through the HridayAmrit Foundation, helping expand its footprint nationally and internationally.
