Every second counts in an emergency. Equipping communities, especially young students, with life-saving skills such as CPR can mean the difference between life and death. On August 24, HridayAmrit Foundation, in collaboration with Doctors For A Cause HQ, organized a CPR demonstration and interactive training session at Gokul Ashram Shala, Ahmedabad, a school serving children from underserved backgrounds. For many of these students, access to such essential health education and training is limited, making this initiative particularly meaningful.
Event Overview
The session began with our senior doctor and trainers introducing the principles of Basic Life Support (BLS), including a live CPR demonstration. Students observed each step and gained an understanding of the critical role timely intervention plays in saving lives. Volunteers also conducted interactive discussions and practical demonstrations on managing snake bites, choking incidents, and primary wound care. These activities encouraged active participation from the students, who engaged enthusiastically and demonstrated a strong willingness to learn.
Impact
This initiative highlighted the importance of starting public health education early and underscored how grassroots training programs can empower communities. By equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to respond in emergencies, we are:
Building safer communities by preparing the next generation of first responders.
Bridging gaps in access to essential health education for underserved groups.

We extend our gratitude to the trainers, volunteers, and partner organizations for their support in making this program a success. Together, we are fostering a culture of preparedness and turning awareness into meaningful action.
