Heart Health 101 – Little Hearts, Big Lessons

On 12th December 2025, HridayAmrit Foundation conducted Heart Health 101 at Z.P. School, Faridabad, Jalna, transforming a regular school day into an engaging and joyful exploration of heart health for children aged 5–10 years.

The session was thoughtfully designed to introduce young minds to the basics of the human heart in a way that was simple, interactive, and age-appropriate. Through colourful fruit-based drawings, hands-on activities explaining basic heart anatomy and function, and a lively quiz, children learned how everyday choices-such as eating nutritious foods, staying physically active, and developing healthy habits-can help protect their hearts for life.

To make learning both memorable and meaningful, children participated in heart-shaped sticky-note reflections, where they shared what they learned and how they would take care of their hearts. The enthusiasm was further encouraged with small prizes, stationery kits, and refreshments, reinforcing the idea that health education can be fun, inclusive, and rewarding.

Beyond the activities, the program fostered curiosity, confidence, and early health awareness, empowering children not only to care for their own hearts but also to become messengers of heart health within their families and communities.

Team HridayAmrit Foundation concluded the day inspired by the bright smiles, thoughtful questions, and infectious energy of these young learners-reminded once again that meaningful change in cardiovascular health begins early, with education that is compassionate, creative, and community-driven.
